Starting with the Ngamba chimanzee senctuary an island on lake victoria the largest fresh water body in Africa accessed with a boat from Entebbe town, Kibale forest for chimpanzee tracking this is the worlds primate capital with 13 species of primates, bwindi impenetrable forest south western Uganda for the ultimate gorilla trekking adventure and after you will head out to Rwanda for another amazing primate exeprience of golden monkey tracking. Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival

On arrival at Entebbe airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your guide who will transfer you to your hotel around Entebbe town.

Day 2

Ngamba Island

This island was set as a sanctuary for orphaned chimps. After breakfast, you will take a boat at either 9:00am or 10:30am from Entebbe pier and then head to Ngamba island where you will be in time for their feeding as guides offer various interpretations of their habits and life style. In the afternoon you a lunch break and then return to Entebbe, you will chose to go to the Zoo or Botanical gardens for a walk in the evening. Dinner and overnight Entebbe town.

Day 3

Road trip to Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast you will leave Entebbe for Kibale forest national park pass by the beautiful tea plantations lunch break fort portal town. After drive to your lodge in Kibale forest national park. Kibale forest is a large protected block of rain forest which has 13 species of primates such as chimps, grey checked mangaby, red tailed monkey, red colobus and this makes it the world’s primate capital. Dinner and overnight lodge in the forest.

Day 4

Chimp trekking

After breakfast you will head to the park offices for registration and briefing then you will be split in two groups and you start your chimp tracking experience enjoying a wonderful forest walk. Lunch back at your lodge and later afternoon you will go for Bigodi swamp walk which is a home to approximately 137 bird species and rich in vegetation such as wild palms, polita figs and the dominate papyrus. Dinner and overnight lodge in the forest.

Day 5

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.

After your breakfast drive to Bwindi forest that is home to the endangered mountain gorillas, the impenetrable forest also attracts chimps and spectacular birds. There are 23 of the 24 of the Albertine rift endemics including the African green broad bill, bar tailed trogon and other beautiful forest species. Lunch on the way, dinner and overnight lodge in the forest.

Day 6

Gorilla Tracking Day

After breakfast drive to the park offices for registration and briefing, you will be split into groups of 8 people and you will start your experience of gorilla tracking believed to be the most exciting activity on earth. Gorilla tracking takes between 2-8 hours depending on the movement of a given family as they feed, lunch box in the forest. Later in the day you can do a community walk or relax at the lodge. Dinner and overnight lodge in the forest.

Day 7

Drive to Rwanda

After breakfast proceed to Rwanda fondly called the land of a thousand hills enjoying stunning views as you drive by terraced hills in Uganda, offering numerous photo opportunities and unforgettable scenery, after lunch in Kisoro town you will cross the border to Rwanda, overnight and dinner Rwanda.

Day 8

Golden Monkey Tracking

After breakfast, you will enjoy another spectacular search of the rear Golden monkeys the walk take about three hours. After return to hotel for lunch, afternoon relax at your hotel or you can have a village walk. Dinner and overnight Kinigi Rwanda

Day 9

Drive to Kigali Airport

After breakfast, drive to the airport through Kigali the capital city of Rwanda, catch your flight back home.
