Day 1: Arrival

On Arrival at Entebbe Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your guide who will transfer you to your Hotel, depending on your arrival time you can visit the Botanical gardens.

Day 2: Ngamba Island

After your breakfast you prepare to visit Ngamba Island. The island was set up as a Sanctuary for orphaned chimps, you will take a boat at either 9:00 am or 10.30am from Entebbe and then head for Ngamba Island, the island is on Lake Victoria the second largest lake in the world. You will get there in time for their feeding as guides offer various interpretations of their habits and lifestyle, lunch at the Island. After you will be back to Entebbe town in the late afternoon choosing to go to the Zoo or Botanical Gardens.

Day 3: Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast, you will depart Entebbe for Kibale Forest National Park pass by the Tea plantations on your way, lunch in Fort Portal town and arriving at your Hotel in the late afternoon. Kibale Forest is a large protected block of rain forest, which has about 13 species of primates making it the worlds primate capital, you will meet Chimpanzees, Grey Cheeked Mangabey, Red tailed Monkeys and Red Colobus.

Day 4: Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast, we shall drive to the park offices for briefing and registration then after you will be put into groups to start your walk in the forest to track the chimps. The walk takes between two to fives hours depending on how long the chimps move to feed.  Packed lunch in the forest, in the evening you can do Bigodi swamp walk or visit the community.

Day 5: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast, Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park that is home to the Endangered Mountain Gorillas, driving trough Ishasha southern sector of Queen Elizabeth national park for the famous tree climbing lions, packed lunch in the park. The Montane Forest of Bwindi also attracts chimpanzee and spectacular birds, there are 23 of the 24 Albertine Rift endemics including the African Green Broadbill, Bar Tailed Trogon and other beautiful forest species. You will need to have a good night’s rest to get ready for the following day’s gorilla tracking.

Day 6: Gorilla Trekking

You shall track the rare Mountain Gorillas, one of the most exciting experiences on earth. You will carry packed lunch.There are now almost half of the entire Mountain Gorillas in Bwindi Forest! You may in the afternoon relax at the lodge or go for a Village walk to visit the Local Batwa Community.

Day 7: Drive to Rwanda

After breakfast, you will proceed to Rwanda, fondly called the land of a thousand hills, enjoy stunning views as you drive by the terraced hills in Uganda, offering numerous photo opportunities, and an unforgettable scenery. After lunch in Kisoro town, you will cross the Border into Rwanda.

Day 8: Golden Monkey Trekking

Enjoy another spectacular search for these rare endangered species; don’t forget to carry your lunch pack, rain gear, and definitely a camera. And be prepared for a different primates experience, community walk in the evening.

Day 9: Last day of our trip

After breakfast Proceed to Kigali Airport to catch your flight back Home.
